The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CTU in Prague, took part in this year’s Maker Faire Prague 2026, where it introduced visitors to the world of technology, automation and control systems through practical and interactive demonstrations.
At the department’s stand, visitors had the opportunity to try out exhibits combining mechanics, electronics, programming and control. The aim was to show that modern mechanical engineering is not only about design and calculations, but also about creativity, experimentation and finding smart technical solutions.
The event attracted children, students, parents and technology enthusiasts. For visitors, it offered a chance to take a look behind the scenes of teaching and research at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CTU in Prague. For representatives of the department, it was an opportunity to present the field in an accessible and engaging way.
