Automation of a coil winding machine



The goal is to automate a coil winding machine in the department laboratories. Following steps are expected:

  • the choice, installation and putting into operation of a frequency inverter for the main motor so that its speed and direction of rotation is controlled from a controller system
  • installation of an auxiliary motor for the wire movement
  • installation of speed sensors and break control
  • design of a user interface (hardware and software) for control. It should be possible to set the desired coil parameters (wire diameter, dimensions, number of turns, the way the wire is put down etc.)
