Device for automatic measurement of volt-ampere characteristics



The goal is to design and build a device for automatic measurement of volt-ampere characteristics. It should be used especially for solar cells. Required ranges: voltage 0 to aprox. 150V, current 0 to aprox. 3 A (all DC) Principle: the device creates a variable load with a FET transistor. Using PWM the current is modified and voltage and current is measured. The measurement should be very short (around 0.1s). The voltage and current is measured with sensors. Power has to be calculated as well. The output should be either: serial line, ethernet or to a file on an sd card.
